Company Brings 6 Years of Success with DHS to the New Contract
Sept. 11, 2013, Reston, VA – Govplace, a leading value-added reseller and solution provider for the public sector, today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the FirstSource II small business track. This IDIQ multiple-award contract has a base period of performance of five years, with two one-year options, for a total of 7 years, if all options are exercised.
FirstSource II provides DHS with access to a full array of value-added reseller services and access to a wide and renewable variety of IT commodities, services and solutions (hardware and software) from multiple Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Any commercially available IT product may be made available through these contracts.
Govplace was also an awardee for DHS FirstSource I, maintained consistently high performance ratings under the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) over a six-year period, and was recognized as a Top 25 IT Contractor by the agency.
FirstSource provides the Department with access to a wide variety of IT commodity products. DHS has awarded more than 17,000 delivery orders since FY 2007 in excess $2.00 billion through FirstSource. Govplace’s focus on the FirstSource contracts includes, but is not limited to:
