Adam Robinson – CEO
Adam founded Govplace in 1995, shortly before graduating from UC Santa Barbara, as a way to combine his passions for technology innovation, business model optimization, team building and customer intimacy. Under his leadership, the company has:
- Built over $1B in successful, transformational technology solutions, helping government agencies leverage technology to deliver mission and business success to their internal and external constituents.
- Created a business model with unique, complementary and competitively differentiated capabilities.
- Pulled together a collaborative, high-performing team, sharing core values and diverse opinions to create a dynamic, creative environment.
- Developed a deep understanding of the technology, regulatory, cultural and business needs of the federal government.
Adam is involved in multiple government-industry collaboration consortiums as well as several philanthropic organizations including ACT-IAC, AFCEA, the Children’s Inn at NIH and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Adam’s degree is in Economics. He lives in Ashburn Va with his wife and two sons and can be found on weekends skiing, sailing and traveling with friends and family.
Ryan McCullough – Sr. Vice President of Federal
Ryan McCullough joined Govplace in May of 2007 and holds the position of Sr. Vice President of the Federal Division. In addition to leading the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy in Federal, he is also responsible for leading business development, capture management, program management, project management, engineering and service delivery. Mr. McCullough has spent 18 years in the Federal IT industry and has led a variety of successful strategic efforts in support of multiple federal agencies resulting in sales and delivery of over $1B in IT products and services as well as contract awards totaling more than $20B in value. Prior to Govplace, Mr. McCullough spent 10 years at GTSI where he supported several agencies in driving tactical sales and strategic business development efforts.
Mr. McCullough is a recipient of the prestigious Rising Star Award (2009) presented by 1105 Media which honors men and women who have made an early and substantive mark on the government IT world. The award recognized his success in driving innovation in solution delivery to enable positive business outcomes for government customers through performance based engagement. He is a graduate of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) Voyagers Program (2006) for leadership development and industry/government collaboration. He is also active in numerous industry associations such as IAC, TechAmerica and AFCEA.
Mr. McCullough graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors of Science Degree specializing in Government and Politics. Mr. McCullough currently resides in Ashburn, VA with his wife Katie and their children, Nolan and Kylie.
Mark Serway – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Serway was recruited in August of 2013 to leverage his deep operational experience and leadership in taking companies to next level of maturity and growth and drive operational and profit improvements. He is responsible for overseeing strategic planning, finance, accounting, information technology, purchasing, contract administration, pricing, and facilities.
Prior to this, Mark served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Akima, LLC for over five years and played an instrumental role in spearheading the development of all long-term and short-term business plans among Akima’s family of companies. During the first three years at Akima, sales doubled organically from $300 million to over $600 million with income increasing by over 400% over the same period. Over the last two years, Mr. Serway was responsible for merging and integrating 15 additional companies under Akima bringing sales to over $1 billion.
Mark’s experience includes numerous examples of leading successful organizational change, maximizing profits and positioning organizations for sustainable growth. He is expert in transforming and building world-class organizations, troubleshooting organizational, business and program inefficiencies, strengthening internal controls, implementing process improvement initiatives and ensuring that these more efficient, streamlined financial management programs translate into increased revenue growth.
Mark has held progressively senior positions with Employment Enterprises, Paradigm Solutions, Lockheed Martin IT, Getronics Government Solutions, Babcock & Wilcox and Boeing Computer Services. He received his M.B.A. in finance from Averett University and B.B.A. in management information systems from James Madison University. He is a member of CFO Alliance, Financial Executives International (FEI), and the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC). He is a regular attendee of the Northern Virginia CFO Roundtable and was recently a finalist for the Washington Business Journal’s “CFO of the Year” award.
Majed Saadi – Chief Technology Officer
Majed Saadi joined Govplace in early 2016 to serve as the Chief Technology Officer. He is tasked with codifying Govplace’s capabilities and offerings as well as supporting technical innovation across the enterprise. Previous to his current role, Majed served as the Chief Technology Officer for the Civilian Agencies Business Area at SRA International. This encompassed Federal agencies with missions focused on diplomacy, energy, financials, transportation as well as other civilian centric missions. During his time at SRA he also served as the Director of the Cloud Computing Practice. His cloud practice developed offerings in service areas ranging from Cloud Strategy Development to Cloud Management. He additionally participated in the creation of award winning go-to-market offerings AcuITy® for IT Decision Making Enablement and Stratify® for Cloud Security.
Majed has held progressively senior positions as a thought leader for other Federal Systems Integrators such as QinetiQ North America and 3H Technology. He regularly speaks at industry leading conferences and symposiums about topics ranging from using IT in public health to Cloud Computing's impact on modern organizations.
Majed has over 18 years of experience in IT Strategy Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Enterprise Systems Management. He holds a Master’s degree in IT Management from the University of Virginia as well as several industry certifications including TOGAF 9, ITIL, ISO 20000, and Management of Risk (MoR).
Joe Corcoran – Vice President of Service Delivery
Joe Corcoran joined Govplace in June of 2009 and was named Vice President of Service Delivery in January of 2016. In his current role, Mr. Corcoran is responsible for the planning, performance, and management of Govplace’s entire service delivery portfolio. Govplace’s rapidly growing multi-million dollar services portfolio includes a wide variety of mission critical IT solutions and professional services focused around Federal clients. Mr. Corcoran specializes in developing a shared vision for success with clients, providing proactive performance management, and driving repeatable process-oriented approaches to service delivery.
Prior to becoming VP of Service Delivery, Mr. Corcoran served as the Director of NIH Operations for Govplace, successfully capturing and operating over $100M in new service delivery contracts with the National Institutes of Health and other clients. He also had the title of Director of Strategic Program Development, where he architected Govplace’s strategy for expanding its client base and IT services portfolio by capturing and operating new contract vehicles (IDIQ’s, GWACs, BPA’s). Mr. Corcoran was also responsible for the formation of Govplace’s highly successful Hygeia Solutions Partners Joint Venture.
Mr. Corcoran came to Govplace from IntelliDyne, a successful IT Services consulting firm where he successfully captured over $150 million in IT services business in support of DOJ, DHS, and DOD clients.

Mr. Corcoran graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminology and a minor in Public Relations. He currently resides in Leesburg, VA with his wife Ashley and their children, Olivia and Benjamin.
