Sr. Systems Analyst

Job Description
The Systems Analyst/Architect will be primarily responsible for providing analysis and engineering of the operational/functional aspects of software and hardware architectures and systems in support of COTS systems integration projects. They will be responsible for the analysis of business processes and services to determine how people, processes, data, communications, and technology can best accomplish the requirements of the program. Other responsibilities may include architectural planning, system prototyping/pilot development, or investigations leading to the possible implementation of new technology onto the program. The Systems Analyst/Architect may be required to provide guidance and training to less experienced analysts and project/program managers.

This position will be primarily focused on billable engagements with US Government customers. Their tasking may include professional consulting, systems analysis/engineering, documentation (SDLC-level), conducting various meetings (such as requirements gathering/review sessions, documentation reviews, etc.) and other tasks as required contributing to the achievement of project performance.

Responsibilities:

    • Business Process Analysis
      • Gathering Business Requirements
    • Requirements Definition
      • Defining Functional, System, and Technical Requirements
      • Defining System WorkloadS
      • Defining Test and Evaluation Requirements
    • System Design
      • Authoring System Design Documents
      • Authoring System Deployment Plans
    • System Development
      • Building Test Cases and Procedures
      • Identifying Training Requirements
      • Contingency Planning
    • System Integration and Testing
      • Assistance with System Testing
    • System Implementation
      • Analyzing Pilot and Testing Results
      • Transitioning Systems to Operations

Desired Background, Education, and Skills

  • This position requires US Citizenship
  • This position requires the ability of the candidate to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) and other personnel security requirements to be granted Entry-On-Duty (EOD) status with various US Government customers for work on Govplace Projects
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience
  • Advanced degree in related technical field desired
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in:
    • Systems analysis
    • Systems Engineering
    • Architecture of complex information systems
    • Database management o Microsoft Active Directory o Information System Security Policies and Procedures o SDLC (DHS SLC Desired)
