Senior Technical Recruiter

Position Overview:
Govplace has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years and continues to do so. To support this expansion, there is a need to create a strategy to source high quality candidates quickly and build a pipeline of potential candidates for future staffing needs.

Govplace is searching for a talented and experienced Technical Recruiter to support our rapidly growing organization. This is a critical role in achieving the overall success of building our “A” team. The recruiter will assist with redefining our external recruitment strategy, communicating changes to our internal population, and rolling out programs and systems that position Govplace as an employer of choice. The ideal candidate will identify high quality applicants utilizing the exceptional fundamentals of recruiting coupled with the capability of incorporating creative sourcing techniques. This position is based in Reston, VA.

The Technical Recruiter will:

  • Build and maintain network of potential candidates, conduct pro-active market research and perform on-going relationship management. Govplace has experienced tremendous growth over the last several years and continues to do so. To support this expansion, there is a need to create a strategy to source high quality candidates quickly and build a pipeline of potential candidates for future staffing needs.

    - Learn about the technologies and the job market in relation to our    industry.  Assess current openings and build strategy to fill via    networking and social media. 

    - Meet with management to identify potential future openings and     create success profiles for the positions. Source, identify and qualify     candidates for future positions. create success profiles for the     positions. Source, identify and qualify candidates for future positions.

    - Conduct evaluation of Career page on website and recruitment     collateral and measure back to best practices.

    -  Determine ROI on current and past recruitment resources and build     staffing plan based on highest rate of return. 

    - Recommend strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to    achieving a goal of 30 days for time to fill.

  • Establish comprehensive recruitment processes and procedures. In the last year we crossed a crucial milestone as a company by exceeding 50 employees. Therefore, it is critical that we standardize our recruiting process to ensure full compliance with federal regulations such as AAP. HR also needs to provide support to the hiring managers to accurately match the success factors of the position with qualified candidates.

    - Interview hiring managers to determine effectiveness of current     recruitment processes and procedures.

    -  Research and evaluate best option for applicant tracking.

    - Compile list of contractors on current projects to include certifications,    clearances, and hiring potential.

    - Recommend improvements to recruitment process with deliverables,    timelines and a formal tracking process to ensure compliance with    all federal and state regulations

  • Provide HR guidance and assistance to Reston office. Due to the rapidly growing employee population in our Reston office, there is a need to provide HR support and guidance for the staff by onsite presence. Due to this growth, new roles and departments have been created within the organization. Therefore, there is a need to work towards defining roles and responsibilities for positions to drive accountability and target areas for employee development.

    - Gain understanding of benefit offerings, Govplace policies, and     organizational structure.

    - Meet with employees and managers to start to define roles and     responsibilities of positions within the Company.

    - Meet with business leaders to create strategy to strengthen employee    engagement/ retention and build employee development plans    (IDPs).
