Steve Bilbo Joins Govplace as Director of Business Development and Capture

[Bethesda, MD, March 4, 2025] – Govplace is pleased to announce Steve Bilbo has joined the team as Director of Business Development and Capture. Steve has spent over 30 years working in IT. Steve served in the United States Army as a combat arms soldier where he participated in the largest tank battle in modern history. Steve has held numerous positions since departing the Army. He was the Sr. Program Manager for the Regional Cyber Centers in Korea and Hawaii and rose to be the Theater Architect for United States Forces Korea where he was responsible for understanding theater-wide IT systems for the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marines, from the Early Warning Missile System to fiber optic cable in the ground. Steve served in the US Army for 10 years and was honorably discharged in 2000 with a Meritorious Service Medal (as an E5). He is also a recipient of the Bronze Order of Mercury (as a contractor). Steve has been awarded 10 Chairmans Awards, the pinnacle of recognition at multiple companies. Steve and his wife have been married for 28 years and successfully saw their children move out with degrees from VCU. On his spare time, Steve enjoys collecting Bourbon and Mickey figurines.
